Marketer of the Year

A huge Congratulation goes out to our Business Development & Marketing Manager Emily Ripka, CPSM for being recognized as SMPS Virginia’s Marketer of the Year. Emily has been a member of SMPS Virginia for nearly a decade serving as a volunteer member and chair on numerous committees. She was the Annual Conference Chair for two years, responsible for planning and implementation of the Chapters largest educational event, and the Chapter President in 2018-2019. She now serves as Immediate Past President on the Board and will continue to guide the Chapter as a member of the Past Presidents Advisory Committee.

The Marketer of the Year award honors personal achievement and recognizes a member’s extraordinary leadership and contribution to their firm’s marketing success. The Marketer of the Year demonstrates significant accomplishments in the areas of Strategic Planning and Research, Business Development, Management, Communications, Innovation, Education and Training, and Service to the Profession.

The Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) is a diverse community of marketing and business development professionals working together to move the A/E/C industries forward. SMPS believes in Business Transformed Through Marketing Leadership. Through networking, educational opportunities, and industry-leading research, SMPS members gain a competitive advantage in positioning their firms successfully in the marketplace. The Virginia chapter of SMPS is comprised of over 100 members, located across the Commonwealth, working for firms ranging from small, one office companies to large, global corporations. The Virginia chapter provides monthly educational programs and networking opportunities for marketers, business developers, and firm leaders to Advance, Educate, and Connect industry professionals from across the A/E/C network.
