I-295/I-64 Interchange

NXL is currently providing construction inspection personnel on this interchange modification project. From spring 2006 to spring 2009, VDOT will improve areas along I-295 and I-64 in western Henrico County to provide a better flow of traffic between Route 288 and I-295.

This three phase project includes widening Pouncey Tract Road, construction of a new flyover ramp from eastbound I-64 to I-295 south and adding an additional travel lane along I-64 east and westbound from Route 288 to Route 250 (Broad Street).

NXL Inspection staff is responsible for field inspection of all aspects of the contractors work to assure conformance with plans, special contract provisions, specifications in the areas of grading, drainage, asphalt and concrete paving, other concrete items, water and sewer improvement, box culverts and landscaping.
